Operator Mobile Machine - Wessels Mine at South32

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• This role is a permanent full-time position.
• As an Operator Mobile Equipment, you will be responsible for safely loading, hauling, dozing and dumpling activities in the Wessels plant area.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• Participate in investigations into workplace incidents
• Report any unsafe behavior, conditions and incidents to the responsible person
• Conduct pre-use inspections, routine inspections and report defects;
• Conduct risk assessment before all tasks and identify risks and hazards;
• Operate mobile equipment based on operational requirements;
• Keep mobile equipment clean and in a good condition all the time;
• Operate various mobile equipment based on operational requirements.

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in operating mobile equipment in a mining environment.

Qualifications for this role are:

• Grade 12 with mathematics;
• A minimum of two valid equipment licenses on either CAT Hauler 770, 777 and CAT loader 992, 980;
• Valid drivers license.
