Operator/Setters (Northern Suburbs (Cape)) at Vital Health Foods

Description

Perform various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and clean/sanitise machinery according to set standards to meet production KPI's.

There are vacancies for Operator/Setters in the softgel manufacturing, tablet manufacturing and packing departments.

• Facilitate movement of raw materials to/from the required production area and verify quality.
• Accurate completion of production related paperwork.
• Perform production line opening and pre-operation activities.
• Set up, operate and monitor multiple pieces of line equipment during operation to ensure efficient, quality production with minimal unplanned stops according to SOP.
• Use appropriate tools to execute maintenance and setting up of machines according to SOP's.
• Adjust machine as needed for changeovers.
• Complete production run within specified time.
• Conduct in-process checks.
• Maintain and store tools according to SOP's.
• Resolve problems by analysing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions and recommending action.
• Maintain housekeeping and quality/safety standards.
• Perform maintenance checks and troubleshooting according to SOP.

Requirements

• Grade 12 certificate (preferably with Mathematics) coupled with a relevant N2 technical qualification.
• Previous packing/manufacturing experience in a GMP production environment.
• Technical aptitude & basic electrical knowledge.
• Knowledge of GMP/HACCP and health and safety.
• High attention to detail, good problem-solving skills, and pro-active thinking skills.
