The role:

The purpose of this role is to provide general assistance to ensure safe and cost-effective mininga

The duties will include but are not limited to:

• Operate the tractor machine
• Complete pre-shift checklist & record and report all faults and defects, washing and cleaning of tractor
• Adhere to defined standard procedures and apply safe work practices
• Report any defects to the Supervisor and control room
• Comply with safety regulations
• Compliance and adherence to legislative requirements
• To adhere to departmental risk management plan
• Compliance with the emergency preparedness and response requirements
• Adhere to policies and procedures
• Adhere to job safety analysis
• Reporting of incidents, accidents, and property damage
• Adherence to change management process
• The tractor will be responsible for pulling pumps
• The tractor will be responsible for pulling pipelines & stringer pipes
• Positioning of pipes alongside the berms and ramps
• Grass cutting and planting of grass on the Rehab area

You will need:

• Grade 12 with Mathematics 
• Ability to operate mining machinery
• Understanding of safety rules and regulations
• In-depth knowledge of mining machinery and mining rules
• Valid tractor license
• Valid driver's license

Advantageous:

• Minimum of 1-year experience operating mobile equipment in a mining environment
