OSS Data Scientist at OUTsurance

Duties: (but not limited to)

• Complicated excel work like building dashboards, refining, and presenting data

• Definitely taking charge of building and deploying reports on MIS

• Helping us streamline how we currently process data

•  Responsible for providing daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports

• compiling and presenting divisional and functional reports, data trend and analysis

• Ensures month end runs are accurate and timeous

• Responsibilities include the co-ordination and management of changes to the MIS database,

• Streamlining of MIS reports and process across the business

Qualifications

Qualification:

• Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Informatics, Data Mining, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Engineering, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or equivalent.

Other Skills required:

• Advanced MS Excel

• Microsoft SQL Server

• MS office (excluding excel) (advantageous)

• SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Power BI (advantageous)

 Experience:

• Recent graduate with outstanding academic results, or

• 2 years’ relevant experience in:

  • Data analysis

  • Programming

  • MIS reporting

  • SQL experience is beneficial
