About the Role

• The Part Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the parts department within automotive or equipment dealerships. In this position, you will be responsible for managing inventory, ensuring efficient parts operation, and providing exceptional customer service to support the workshop and external clients.
• Your focus will be on achieving sales targets and maintaining high standards of service delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the parts department, ensuring efficient workflow and process adherence.
• Oversee inventory management, including stock control, ordering, and replenishment of parts to meet demand.
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting clients in identifying and sourcing parts for their vehicles or equipment.
• Develop sales strategies and promotional activities to drive parts sales and achieve revenue goals.
• Train and supervise parts staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
• Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and implement effective action plans for improvement.
• Maintain vendor relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of parts.
• Collaborate with service department management to ensure seamless parts availability for repair and maintenance operations.

Requirements

• Proven track record in automotive or equipment parts management or a related field.
• Strong understanding of parts inventory systems and effective inventory management practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate customer interactions and team collaboration.
• Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Computer literacy with experience in parts management software or similar systems.
• Solid organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inventory handling and order processing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive parts management or a related discipline.
• Experience in sales or business development within the automotive industry.
• Familiarity with relevant compliance and safety regulations in the automotive sector.
