    Part-Time Lecturer:Law, Safety and Security

    • The department of Safety and Security requires the services of part-time lecturers for both first and second semester subjects for the academic year 2026.
    • INSTRUCTIONS: Applicants are required to submit together with the CVs, a fully completed standardized application form available from the university intranet as well as recently certified copies of qualifications and Identity Document. Failure to comply with this instruction will disqualify the candidate. Candidates may be subjected to appropriate psychometric testing and other selection instruments.

    Key performance areas:

    • Presenting lectures and assessing students in various subjects (Day classes)
    • Be responsible for administrative tasks relating to Teaching and Learning.
    • Involvement in departmental community projects.
    • Compile and maintain quality study guides, subjects files and other Teaching and Learning materials
    • Liaise with industry regarding WIL, industrial visits and other related activities
    • Assist with Curriculum Development in terms of the HEQSF.
    • Attend meetings
    • Setting and marking all assessments.
    • General administrative duties such as capturing of test and assignment marks on the
    • ITS system and uploading documents on BrightSpace.
    • Student consultation.

    Minimum requirements:

     Academic qualifications:

    • A Master’s degree in Policing, Criminology or Traffic Sciences.

    Experience:

    • At least 3 years teaching experience at a tertiary institution is a requirement.
    • Registration with professional body (if applicable).
