As a Parts Manager, you will oversee the procurement, inventory management, and distribution of automotive parts. This role focuses on streamlining operations and ensuring the availability of essential parts to support smooth repair and service workflows. You will lead a team dedicated to maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency while fostering strong relationships with suppliers and customers.
Key Responsibilities
Manage inventory levels of automotive parts to ensure timely availability and minimize stock discrepancies.
Develop and implement ordering processes and procedures to optimize procurement, reduce costs, and enhance supplier relationships.
Train, supervise, and evaluate the performance of parts department staff to ensure high levels of productivity and customer service.
Analyze market trends and customer demands to forecast future inventory needs and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly.
Maintain comprehensive records of parts sales, orders, and deliveries to facilitate effective reporting and issue resolution.
Work closely with the service department to prioritize parts distribution based on service schedules and urgent repair needs.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the parts department, focusing on efficiency, waste reduction, and quality enhancement.
Collaborate with sales teams to address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and promote parts availability.
Requirements
Proven track record in managing automotive parts and supply chain logistics, preferably in a dealership or repair facility environment.
Strong understanding of inventory management practices and automotive parts identification systems.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team effectively.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with keen attention to detail.
Proficient in using inventory management software and MS Office Suite.
