    Payroll Process Specialist

    Introduction

    • We are currently looking for a Payroll Process Specialist to join our Payroll Department. The purpose of this role is to support Payroll Department the business by developing, processing and reporting of HR and Payroll data, ensuring that integrity and accuracy is maintained at all times.
    • Delivering a value-adding, cost effective and customer-focused payroll service to the business that fosters a culture of continuous improvement within defined service level agreements.

    Job description

    • To assist with the rollout and change management of payroll-related projects within the business to ensure successful delivery and implementation.
    • To verify the accuracy and completeness of data entered into the SAP HCM system, make data and system amendments, and escalate matters where necessary.
    • To conduct data analysis on payroll data, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
    • To conduct trend analysis and provide business support through effective monthly reporting.
    • To ensure that business processes and policies are always aligned to the system.
    • To ensure compliance with internal pay policies and practices and relevant legislation.
    • To ensure alignment with stakeholders to work effectively and ensure continuous improvement and excellent customer service.

    Minimum requirements

    Experience and Qualifications:

    • Matric
    • Relevant tertiary qualification
    • 3-5 years’ payroll experience - essential
    • Experience working in a large complex payroll department
    • Experience in SAP HCM system - essential
    • Experience working in cross-functional teams, especially in an environment which includes extensive co-operation with human resources departments
    • Excellent MS skills - Excel advanced required

    Knowledge:

    • SAP HCM which includes but in not limited to SAP Fiori, Time and Attendance, Work schedules, payroll and organisational structure (minimum of 3 years)
    • Knowledge of tax, UIF and all relevant remuneration regulations
    • Basic Conditions of Employment Act
    • Knowledge of payroll policies and procedures
    • Knowledge of Business (structures, lines of authority)
    • In depth knowledge of all payrolls related taxes (PAYE, UIF) and legislation
