Performance Engineer at MECS (Pty) Ltd

Role Summary:

• Degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Process Engineering.
• 3 - 5 Years' experience in performance of thermal cycles of power solar plants.
• Familiar with Siemens PCS7 / WinCC and Vijeo Citect Control Systems.
• Knowledge of energy and mass balance, process engineering, process controls, plant hydraulics and process safety management.
• Experience in performance of thermal cycles of solar power plants.
• Chairing Production Meetings.
• Monitor and report on the plant performance.
• Optimise plant performance.
• Perform root cause investigations.
• Compile warranty claims and techical queries.
• Perform production risk assessments.
• Analyse the performance of equipment separately against mass/energy balances.
• Analyse the performance of the plant as a whole against its performance model.
• Establish processes needed for the Quality Management System and carry out Quality Management initiatives.
• Implementing and supervising a quality assurance programme in compliance with the QMS.
• Undertake audits of different processes.
