 Key Performance Output

The successful candidate will be reporting to Supervisor Permit Officer and will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

• Receive applications and administer according to Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
• Verify completeness of application forms and ensure all required documents accompanies application.
• Liaise with relevant parties during verification process where needed.
• Submit and collect forms for security clearance.
• Activation, deactivation and cancellation of access control permits according to system indications.
• Co-ordinate /Schedule appeals where necessary and ensure appeal meeting has the corresponding documents
• Issuing of access control permits according to permit office policy and schedule.
• Ensure effective document control and safeguarding of applications according to the POPI Act.
• Book permit application appointments and receipt collection of permits on system.
• Verify documents, authorized signatures and company registrations to ensure compliance to company policy and procedure.
• Receive and perform transactions for cash, card and account payments for applications.
• Manage petty Cash Perform reconciliations
• Banking of funds received
• Operate according to ICAO, NKP,NASP (National Aviation Security Program), Airport security program (ASP), and SACAA (Civil Aviation Act) and other relevant Legislation and all ACSA policies and procedures.
• Assess and report all faulty equipment and systems.
• Build and maintain sound internal and external stakeholder / customer relations whilst balancing enforcement with professionalism.
• Handle queries and complaints and refer where necessary.
• Report on permit allocation in terms of expiry, renewal etc. as indicated on system to forecast possible permit renewals / cancellations.

Technical Skills and Experience

• National Senior Certificate (Garde 12) is essential.
• Accreditations with: National Key Point (NKP) Certification and
• Firearm Competency
• South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) Dangerous Goods
• South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) Safe Passage
• South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) Basic Aviation Security (AVSEC) Certification
• Screener Certification
• Registered with: Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) Grade C
• Code B drivers’ licence is Advantageous
