Personal Service Technician - Volvo Somerset West at Rola Motor Group

Minimum Requirements

• Proof of Qualification as Technician (Trade Test/Red Seal)
• Previous experience as an automotive technician, preferably with specific experience working on Volvo vehicles.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex automotive systems.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and address vehicle issues accurately and efficiently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and explain technical information in a clear and understandable manner.
• Detail-oriented approach to work, with a commitment to delivering high-quality service and exceeding customer expectations.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on Volvo vehicles, including oil changes, tyre rotations, and fluid checks.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Communicate effectively with customers to understand their vehicle concerns and provide transparent explanations of recommended services.
• Provide personalised recommendations for vehicle maintenance and repairs based on individual driving habits and usage patterns.
• Uphold Volvo's high standards of quality and craftsmanship in all service and repair work.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest Volvo technologies, service procedures, and industry developments through ongoing training and professional development.
