Current Registration with the South Arican Pharmacy Council [SAPC] as Pharmacist Assistant Post Basic
Grade 1: None after registration with the SAPC as Pharmacist Assistant [Post Basic]
Grade 2: 5 years after registration with the SAPC as Pharmacist Assistant [Post Basic]
Grade 3: 13 years after registration with the SAPC as Pharmacist Assistant [Post Basic]
Computer literacy including MS Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint, Visual meeting platforms
Valid Driver's license except for people with disabilities
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Promotion of the Central Chronic Medicines Dispensing and Distribution (CCMDD) programme and ensure that all SOP's for the management of the programme are adhered to
Support of Pick-Up Points (PUPs)
Manage efficient upliftment of uncollected parcels
Management of clinic medicine storeroom as well as supplies including stationery
Management of integrated models of care
Management of all Patient's Medicines Parcels (PMPs)
Management of uncollected PMPs
Ensure medicines availability and follow protocols for management of stockouts in case they occur
Utilize the Pharmaceutical IT systems (SVS, RxSolution and any other systems used by the province)
Implement the use of stock management tools including stock cards, electronic stock management systems, order forms and receiving documents while adhering to SOP's.
Minimize and coordinate disposal of Pharmaceutical Waste
Monitoring and reporting of medicines availability status
Report misuse of medicines to the Pharmacist
Completion and maintenance of all peripheral warehouse KPI
Co-ordinate interfacility stock transfers and keep audit trail of stock movement
Manage and safeguard medicines and surgical supplies at the storeroom and at all facility outlets
Maintain adequate stock levels to ensure continuous supply of medicines to patients
Report all potential and actual stockouts to pharmacy at the GSA hospital
Keep records of patients who have not received their supply of medicines and follow up when supplies are re-established
Ensure that medicines are stored under correct storage conditions and are kept under secure storage
Ensure monitoring of ambient and fridge temperatures daily according to the mapping requirements
