Pharmacist - Mafikeng at Clinix Health Group (Pty) Ltd

Job Summary:

To dispense and issue drugs and stock in accordance with the scope of practice of a pharmacist as laid down in the statutory regulations of the relevant Acts. In addition, controlling and monitoring the storage of all medicines in Pharmacy and the hospital. ensuring that quality pharmaceutical services, financial objectives, legislative compliance, and people management requirements are achieved to the required standards.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree.
• Registration with the South African Pharmacy Counsil (SAPC) as a pharmacist.
• Computer proficiency- SAP and Unisolve.
• 1 to 2 years’ experience in a retail pharmacy or a private hospital setting.

Minimum Duties and Responsibilities:

• Retail Pharmacy – Validating and assessing prescriptions on therapeutic and legal aspects
• In-patients' prescriptions and medication management.
• Charging and billing of prescriptions and capturing return/credits
• Legislation, standards and quality assurance compliance.
• Managing and issuing of habit-forming drugs (S5 & S6) to wards / units.
• Stock Control Management
• Clinical Regulatory Responsibilities
• Supervising Pharmacist Assistant on all dispensing activities and on mixing and compounding of
• GPP (Good Pharmacy Practice)
• Understanding of relevant legislation, operating structures and relationships within a hospital environment.
• Strategic, operational activities and quality management.
• Inventory control and management. 
• Knowledge of patient care, professional counselling- provide authoritative, specialist expertise and advice to external customers. 
• finance & Administration-Do daily cash-up sales.
