What You Will Do

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the Care Centre to ensure efficient, high-quality service delivery.
• Monitor operational, quality, and compliance standards, including accreditation and audit requirements.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, resources, and costs to support operational and financial objectives.
• Recruit, coach, develop, and motivate employees to build a high-performing team.
• Drive performance management, employee engagement, and a culture of continuous improvement.
• Monitor and report on key operational, quality, financial, and people-related metrics.
• Foster a patient-centric culture that prioritises exceptional customer service and care.

What you'll bring

Qualifications

• Relevant HPCSA-recognised Phlebotomy, Nursing, or related healthcare qualification.
• Current HPCSA or SANC registration.

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Phlebotomist or in a similar role within a pathology environment.

Knowledge & Skills

• Advanced knowledge of phlebotomy procedures.
• Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Windows, and Excel.
• Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams.
• Sound numerical and computer literacy skills.
• Commitment to delivering excellent patient and customer service.

Additional requirements

• Valid South African drivers license Code B or C

Advantageous

• Knowledge of Meditech and relevant labour legislation.
• Understanding of people management, performance management, and employee development.
• Knowledge of budgeting, cost control, and financial management principles.
• Strong business and financial acumen.
