A Grade 12 Certificate, a three-year Bachelor’s degree or a three-year National diploma in Photography/Film & Video Technology or equivalent qualification (NQF Level 6 OR SAQA recognised) with 3 years’ experience in a Photography and Videography environment. Excellent computer literacy, with the ability to combine text, photography, audio, and video to create content across multiple platforms. Ability to conceptualise and execution of photography briefs.
Comprehensive knowledge of Apple Mac, the practical use of Adobe Premier Pro, photo and and video editing Software packages. Creative individual, who is also a team player - with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Must have initiative and ability to operate photography equipment, including archiving of digital material. Candidate must have a valid code 8 or 10 driver’s licence.
Duties :
Provide coverage for departmental projects and events. Capture official Departmental activities. Edit and archive photographs. Support media and communications campaigns. Provide visual content for publications and digital platforms. Produce and distribute photos and video clips for the gallery, publications, website, and digital media platforms.
Generate post-production editing, motion graphics, sound design and produce clips. Monitor and maintain all digital images and video clips library. Ensure translation of messaging, information and visual branding into creative concepts that are cost-effective, user-friendly and are in line with the communication strategy of the department.
Advantage: Conceptualise and produce digital, video and motion graphics. Translates audio, video, graphics and digital animation and other digital media content into various distributable formats.
