Piling Rig Operator at Bilnor Staffing Solutions

Job Purpose:

• To safely and efficiently operate Casagrande (B125, B170, B180, B250) and Bauer (BG28, MG48) piling rigs to install deep foundation piles including CFA, ACIS, and Percussion / DTH piles in accordance with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Rig Operation & Piling Execution:
• Operate rigs for CFA, Temporary Cased, ACIS, and DTH piling.
• Set up rig alignment and positioning.
• Control drilling parameters and ensure pile accuracy.
• Monitor concreting and reinforcement placement.

Method-Specific Operations:

• CFA: Drill and pump concrete.
• Temporary Casing: Install/extract casing for bore stability.
• DTH/Percussion: Operate hammer systems in rock conditions.
• Core drilling
• Tremie concrete
• Understand the requirements for different drill tools for different soil conditions.

Machine Setup & Maintenance:

• Perform daily inspections. - Check hydraulics, winches, rotary head, and safety systems. - Report faults and assist maintenance teams.

Safety & Compliance:

• Follow HSE procedures and method statements. - Maintain safe working zones. - Identify overhead electrical cables and request the foreman to identified all underground services before drilling.

Quality Control:

• Record pile depth, volume, and drilling parameters. - Ensure compliance with specifications. 

Team Coordination:

• Work with supervisors, and crew. - Direct assistants during operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience: - Minimum 5 years operating piling rigs (Bauer/Casagrande preferred). 
• Experience in CFA, ACIS, and DTH drilling.

Qualifications:

• Certified operator (CPCS/NPORS or equivalent).
• Valid operator license.
• Safety training certifications.

Skills:

• Understanding of soil and rock behavior.
• Troubleshooting and mechanical knowledge.
• Good communication and teamwork.
