Pilot Driver at Bidvest International Logistics

Job Purpose    

• BIL is looking to employ a Pilot driver who will perform a dual function of collecting plant vehicles and transporting drivers for vehicle collection, the successful candidate will ensure that all goods delivered or collected are in good order and that all documentation are correct. This must all be according to the BidvestIL Standard Operating Procedures and to further ensure that all vehicles are compliant with the clients specs.

Qualifications & Experience    

• Qualifications: Senior certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent Valid Code 10/ C1 Drivers License & PDP Experience: Minimum of 3 Years driving Warehouse Experience (Automotive background is an added advantage) Supervision Experience System Literate

Key Responsibilities    

• Operations Ensure vehicle is parked correctly in the parking bay, as per SOP's. Informs the supervisor/senior management immediately of any damages to vehicles. Performs any duties required by the supervisor/senior management as requested. Must never move a damaged vehicle, unless instructed by his supervisor/senior management. Complies with quality management according to and to Health and safety procedures. ISO: Ensure that all KPI's are achieved Adheres to all BidvestIL policies and procedures SHE: Reporting of any incident as and when it happens Ensure compliance to correct PPE at all times Ensuring compliance to SHE procedures and standards 5S: Ensuring the maintaining of 5S in areas of responsibility General: Immediately report any irregularities to his superiors Proper Housekeeping to be maintained Need to work extended hours when required Be creatively involved in blue area discussions Assist the Supervisor and Administrator where and when required
