About the Role

• The Driver Code 14 will be responsible for transporting and delivering goods safely and efficiently to various destinations. This role involves operating heavy motor vehicles, conducting vehicle inspections, ensuring cargo safety, completing delivery documentation, and complying with regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate heavy motor vehicles safely
• Transport goods between locations
• Comply with road traffic laws
• Adjust driving based on conditions
• Report incidents to supervisor
• Check goods against documentation
• Ensure proper loading and securing of cargo
• Supervise loading and offloading
• Report any issues with goods
• Obtain proof of delivery

Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance:

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Report mechanical faults
• Monitor fuel consumption
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness
• Ensure roadworthiness compliance
• Maintain accurate records
• Comply with legislation and procedures
• Adhere to company policie
• Follow procedures for safety and security
• Protect goods against theft
• Report hazards immediately
• Maintain professional conduct
• Communicate professionally
• Resolve delivery queries
• Provide updates on delivery progress

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Valid Code 14 driving licence with PDP
• Previous driving experience
• Knowledge of road regulations
• Good communication skills
• Clean driving record
• Rate: R89.59 Per Hour
