    Planner

    WHAT YOU’LL DO:

    • Responsible for determining deals, including deal structures and parameters, that will run in their assigned markets.
    • It involves trend forecasting that will optimize the performance of their assigned market(s).
    • This highly analytic role requires close collaboration with many other areas of the organization.
    • This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
    • Employee may perform other related duties as required to meet the on-going needs of the organization.
    • Identify markets' strengths and opportunities through data and analysis and by developing a qualitative understanding of the market
    • Devise market specific strategies to optimize deal performance
    • Communicate deal needs with sales team and city managers
    • Identify trends in new categories by keeping abreast of events such as new restaurant openings, new leisure activities, new beauty or wellness treatments
    • Utilize deal knowledge within the team and region to fine tune deal economics with sales teams
    • Identify patterns and deal types that drive deal performance
    • Highlight issues and deal concerns with the sales team
    • Optimize deal structure to ensure customer and merchant satisfaction and market-level profitability
    • Share findings across other markets and with other city planners
    • Liaise with key constituents to understand macro trends for cities in order to optimize deal strategies
    • Determine when a course correction is required for assigned markets; make recommendations and identify source of the issue(s)
    • Ensuring that site and app content is correctly prioritized, optimized, and refreshed to create clear, effective customer shopping experiences.
    • Execution of online merchandising strategies, with the goal of optimizing the customer experience in order to increase sales, improve conversion rates, and decrease bounce rates. Core metric is online sales and conversion rate.

     

    Key performance indicators:

    • Establishment of a pipeline of deals of at least 4 weeks in relevant region
    • Analysis of the deal pipeline to ensure enticing range of deals for customers as well as optimal revenue flows
    • Consistent and clear communication with all relevant business units regarding specifics of deals that are running and deals that are required
    • Creation and updating Deal Book detailing top local and international deals

     

    WHAT TO BRING:

    • Qualifications and skills Relevant analytic business experience
    • Undergraduate degree is the minimum level of education required
    • Exemplary communication skills (both written and spoken)
    • Background in finance, management, legal analysis, consulting and/or ecommerce ideal
    • Completion of rigorous undergraduate program, ideally in business, economics, engineering, or other quantitative field
    • Ability to manipulate data and derive insights from complex datasets from multiple sources
    • Exceptional Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills required
    • Experience using web analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Webtrends or Omniture, as well as business intelligence software such as MicroStrategy, Cognos, Business Objects or QlikView an advantage
    • Independent worker comfortable in fast changing and pressurised environment
