Master Data Administrator at Pepkor Lifestyle

Job Purpose 

• As a Master Data Administrator at Pepkor Lifestyle, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining and improving our master data to ensure data integrity and consistency. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support various business processes and provide data-driven insights.
• The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, highly organized, and have a deep appreciation for the importance of data quality.

Minimum qualification and Experience 

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Information Management, Business, or related). 
• Proven experience as a Master Data Administrator or in a similar data management role. 
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work meticulously. 
• Proficiency in data management tools and software.
• Knowledge of data governance principles and data quality management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities. 
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Experience with master data management (MDM) systems.
• Understanding of data modeling and data mapping. 
• Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR). 
• Knowledge of industry-specific data standards. 
• Experience with data quality and profiling tools. 
• Certifications in data management or related fields.

Position outputs/competencies 

• Be able to Create, maintain Articles Vendor in the applicable systems.
• Be able to Create, maintain Article and Cluster Hierarchy in the applicable systems.
• Reviewing and validating data for accuracy and completeness. 
• Identify and resolve data inconsistencies and errors. 
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure data quality and compliance with data standards. 
• Documenting and maintaining data governance processes and procedures Support data migration and integration projects. 
• Informed about data management best practices and industry trends.
• Resolution of calls and administration relating to Merchandise business processes.
• Act as a data controller to ensure Group Master Data policies and procedures are upheld.
