• Clover is looking for a Planner: Primary Transport to schedule and optimise Primary routes and rounds to ensure optimum supply to the distribution branches. This position is based at Clover Head Office in Roodepoort. 

Requirements    

• Degree
• Relevant experience in applying job related concepts, techniques and processes at the required level
• Business English: Fluent
• Code 08 Driver's license
• Computer literacy (Intermediate)
• Work shifts/weekends/public holidays

Duties and Responsibilities    

• Schedule Primary Vehicles        
• Schedule loads as per planning department requirements        
• Ensure vehicle availability for all loads scheduled        
• Ensure correct vehicle size as per planning requirement        
• Ensure on time collection and delivery as per planning department requirements
• Ensure quick turnaround times of all primary vehicles on route.        
• Track Primary Vehicles        
• Track vehicles as per schedule        
• Ensure correct vehicles are allocated to routes for tracking purposes        
• Communicate with all parties on arrival delivery times of vehicles scheduled        
• Communicative any deviations on slot time bookings        
• Create, analyse, communicate reports           
• Analyse and communicate loads on time reports        
• Run report Beame tracking % analyse and take corrective action         
• Run reports on loads with Beame actively tracked and take corrective action        
• Conduct daily administration tasks        
• Ensure daily admin tasks are up to date - dispatch        
• Ensure daily admin tasks are up to date - receiving        
• Control shipment details         
• Seek the best tariffs on new routes        
• Control GKN Pallet movement on direct loads
