Planner - Richards Bay at Bidvest Tank Terminals

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:

• Ability to effectively communicate in English.
• Must be computer literate in MS Office
• Decision-making, troubleshooting, problem-solving skills
• Practical knowledge of BTT Emergency Procedure
• Understanding of BTT plant operations including shunting, safety and security procedures

Minimum Requirements

• Matric with Mathematics and / or Science.
• Three years Logistics/Planning experience or in a similar role.
• Admin experience, preferably in a tank farm environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Dispatch, release and print required movement reports.
• Check tank planning and ensure sufficient tank haulage is available for Road/Rail receipt.
• Print and share required daily reports.
• Capture all dips received from Operations on SAP
• Capture the daily enraf’s.
• Capture and confirm all preliminary vessel loading calculations by liaising with the shipping team and report any discrepancy above allowed percentage to Planning Supervisor, Planning Manager or Standby Manager after hours.
• Sign off all outstanding TRF wagon labels and POD’s and forward to administrator.
• Ensure sufficient stationery (paper, wagon labels, seals, and cartridges) is always available.
• Ensure all documentation is filed per product daily.
• Check and tally daily movements in line with SAP and physical documentation.
• Highlight stock loses/gains liaising with the Planning supervisor.
• Refer all discrepancies regarding product movement to the Planning Supervisor when all receiving/dispatching/delivery are not achieved.
• Verify the road truck documents versus the printed report and file accordingly.
• Verify, Vet and create all Road truck orders on SAP.
• Check Vehicle status/ monitor and query abnormal delays liaising with staging area.
• Capture all after rail adjustments per tank and investigate any discrepancies above allowed percentage.
• Print the incoming White Mamba pro-forma, create orders and send to site.
• Capture the rail receipts as per wagon labels on SAP.
• Dispatch rail tankers and send releases to Transnet.
• Maintain driver and carrier information on Fuels Facs
• Ensure effective handover between shifts.
• Engage with customers daily as and when required.
