Description

• Monitor CKD shipments taking into consideration shovel ware supply, container packing & FIFO rules
• Release on-line production schedule with a 3-day frozen period, monitor & report changes if required
• Create & maintain production schedule for Model mix, FIFO rule, sales requirement & assembly rule
• Provide local material with 3-month rolling volume planning
• Add production sequence to new CKD orders loaded on Production system, report on incomplete CKD kits Chair in monthly co-ordination meeting
• Identify urgent sold units and monitor throughout production process
• Participate and contribute as a member of the Production planning meeting (PPM)
• Advise Sales on critical shortages and delays relating to production and or urgent sold units, edit shipping dates as & when required & communicate to Planning & Material Department Liaise with Material Planners on parts availability
• Process requirements from Sales to customer needs ie:tyres, batteries etc
• Request bill of material GB updates from Engineering as and when required Insert Chassis / Batch and Cover sheet notes on MAGIC relating to customer specification
• Assist with warranty issues regarding VAS information for production and CBU vehicles
• Update Inventory and Production stats for Daily Action Room meeting
• Update weekly PT Circle report, Share with MN monthly Production info
• Update Inventory and Production stats for Daily Action Room meeting
• Share monthly Production info with Operations Manager
• Monitor and update the production figures (PPP) report daily & send to Germany Update and report of movements in and out of yard in Pinetown daily

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Production Planning, Industrial Engineering or Supply-chain management

Skills:

• Good communication (oral and written) & interpersonal relations skills
• Analytical and strategic skills to identify problems thereafter solve them
• Advanced EXCEL is a prerequisite
• Reliable, performance oriented and self-motivated

Experience:

• 3 years technical experience in an Assembly/Manufacturing environment
