Platemaker - Pretoria at South African Bank Note Company

Purpose

To produce plates in accordance with specifications for Litho, Screen, Intaglio and Coating sections.

Main Responsibilities (not limited to):

• Adhere to compliance policies, procedures and processes.
• Produce and manufacture plates by using different manufacturing techniques and equipment.
• Produce plates according to specifications.
• Perform process maintenance according to set schedules.
• Taking of stock to ensure availability of printing plates.
• Report and record measurements and non-conformance.
• Adhere to safety standards and quality regulations.
• Lead and supervise the team through recruitment, development, training, coaching, mentoring and performance management.
• Perform any reasonable task as assigned by team leaders/management.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• Matric
• TT3 with Printing or Electronic Origination Trade
• 3-5 years’ experience as a Printer/Platemaker
