CORE PURPOSE OF JOB

• The purpose of the postdoctoral research fellowships (starting at the beginning of 2024) is production of research outputs that correspond with the university’s Institutional Research Themes, in particular one or more of the following: ‘Social Justice and Democracy’, ‘Innovation and the Digital Economy’ and ‘Origins, Culture, Heritage and Memory’. Preference will be given to applications in the broad research focus areas of populism, nationalism and neoliberalism in relation to democracy and social categories of difference; international relations and comparative politics, identity politics, elections and political parties, Higher Education and traditional leadership.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Produce accredited peer-reviewed publication outputs based on ongoing research
• Present and assist with seminar(s) and conference papers
• Provide assistance to CANRAD research and engagement programming
• Participate in intellectual exchange and other CANRAD activities

• Doctoral graduation or proof of successful Doctoral examination by December
