Power Platform Developer / PowerApps Specialist at Praesignis

Job Description

• We are looking for an experienced Power Platform Developer / PowerApps Specialist to join a dynamic, high-impact team within the Financial Services sector. This role will play a key part in building, enhancing and supporting PowerApps solutions while ensuring business-critical applications remain stable, secure, and up to date.

Production Support:

• Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve application issues.
• Perform bug fixes, corrective maintenance, and change implementations aligned to Incident and Problem Management best practices.
• Apply software changes, modify reports, write ad hoc queries, and ensure accurate reporting.
• Maintain application documentation and manage updates to underlying databases and code.
• Support disaster recovery planning and testing.
• Ensure compliance with audit and control requirements.
• Share knowledge and provide support to other team members as needed.

Development & Engineering:

• Evaluate user requirements and translate them into functional software designs.
• Align solutions with architectural standards and provide accurate effort estimations.
• Develop and configure new features using Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate, etc.).
• Optimise code and ensure quality through component and system integration testing.
• Execute software deployment and coordinate cutover or migration activities.
• Offer technical leadership and ensure high standards in design and implementation.

Agile Participation & Support

• Take part in Agile ceremonies such as PI Planning, Stand-ups, System Demos, and more, following the SAFe Agile framework.
• Provide regular progress updates, flag risks/blockers, and own delivery of allocated backlog items.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Scrum Masters, Engineering Leads, and Product Owners.

Enhancements:

• Support enhancement initiatives including analysis, design, programming, testing, and deployment of new features.
• Contribute to change and release planning, and assist in applying updates to existing applications and data structures.
• Act as a stand-in resource in case of extended team member absence (over 2 weeks), ensuring continuity in delivery.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience with Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate, Dataverse).
• Strong understanding of application lifecycle management, including incident, change, and release processes.
• Experience working in Agile/SAFe environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of enterprise application support, cloud-based architecture, and secure development practices.
