Pre- Tertiary Development/High School Bursary -2027 Academic Year (Barberton Fairview Mine) at Barberton Mines

Description

• Learners entering Grade 8, 9 or 10 in 2027.
• Learners must select Pure Mathematics, Physical Science and Technology as part of their subject choices.
• Demonstrated academic excellence, particularly in Mathematics, Physical Science and Technology.
• A demonstrated interest in pursuing careers in mining or related industries.
• Preference will be given to learners from historically disadvantaged backgrounds.
• Demonstrated financial need.
• Learners must reside in Barberton/Emjindini or surrounding areas.
• Learners must be a fulltime learner from any school within the Umjindi Circuit – Department of Education

Requirements

• You must be a South African citizen
• You must be entering Grade 8, 9 &10 in 2027 academic year
• You must have achieved a minimum overall average of 85% or above in the 2026 academic year
• You must have a household income of less than R300 000 per annum
• You must be keen to attend school at Hoerskool Barberton
• Certified copy of an Identity Document or birth certificate
• Final Grade 5 & 6 academic results
• Final (2026) academic results, with certificates of achievements issued by your school
• Complete application form with certified (less than 3 months) documents as prescribed in the application form
