Principal Project Coordinator Creating Opportunities For Youth and Women In Africa (COYWA) Programme
Experience in project coordination and management, including implementing and monitoring projects focused on strengthening the economic empowerment of African citizens through entrepreneurship programmes.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including youth and women entrepreneurs and Institutions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop comprehensive programme proposals.
Proven track record of developing comprehensive funding proposals.
Experience in managing private sector platforms and working with development partners and multilateral institutions to mobilise funding.
Proven experience in project coordination, preferably in the development sector.
Experience in supervising a team and ability to leverage limited resources, staff and consultants for maximum impact.
Strong project management skills, including planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
Proven experience in preparing Project Implementation Reports including Project Closure Reports.
Proficiency in programme budget management, reporting and using project management tools and software- SAP.
High level of integrity and accountability, flexible approaches to work coupled with enthusiasm, commitment and energetic.
Ability to perform multiple tasks and work under pressure with a wide range of individuals and institutions.
Proficiency in one of the AU working languages, fluency in another AU language an added advantage.
Education and Experience:
A master’s degree in economics, Business Administration, Agribusiness, MSME Management, Social Development, Project Management, or a related field, with eight (8) years of relevant work experience in a Pan-African, Development/Multilateral Organisation of which three (3) years are at a supervisory level in public sector institutions or similar organizations nationally, regionally and/or internationally.
Experience in the preparation and implementation of Project Proposals with proven record of securing funding from Development Partners or Private Sector entity.
Or
A bachelor’s degree in economics, Business Administration, Agribusiness, MSME Management, Social Development, Project Management, or a related field, with twelve (12) years’ experience of which seven (7) years are at a specialist/expert level in Project Management, M&E, Project Proposal Writing in public sector institutions or similar organizations nationally, regionally and/or internationally.
Experience in the preparation and implementation of donor-funded projects is required.
