Printer Assistant at Profile Personnel

Job Description

• A leading manufacturing organisation is seeking 6 Printer Assistants to join its production team in Gqeberha.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the Machine Operator with machine setup according to best operating practices.
• Provide system feedback when required and assist with order-related processes.
• Support the Operator during production to maintain high levels of productivity.
• Monitor product quality and report any deviations to the Operator.
• Operate the machine at an acceptable competency level in the absence of the Operator.
• Follow reasonable instructions from the Supervisor.
• Motivate, organise and mentor the machine crew.
• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping within the department.
• Ensure ISO procedures and principles are consistently followed.
• Proactively participate in initiatives aimed at improving machine availability.

REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Qualification in the Trade of Corrugated Board Printing and Finishing Machine Minding.
• Computer literacy is essential.
• Understanding of ink viscosity and colour matching.
• Willing and able to work shifts and overtime when required.
• Proactive, responsible and reliable approach to work.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail.
