Mission/ Core purpose of the Job
The Process Architect will be responsible for the design, development & integration of Global Business Process Methodology & Operating Procedures ensuring alignment in approach and standards across all functional processes for Finance, GSSC, EPM, EAM and HR domains. This includes the seamless integration of cross functional Operating Procedures and leverages leading practice insights across MTN.
Key Performance Areas: Core, essential responsibilities / outputs of the position
- Responsible for the identification, design, development, implementation and ongoing support of global business processes & standard operating procedures enabling and supporting the new global business processes for Finance, SCM, EAM, HR and Governance & Control and maintain fluid alignment with approved Project Deliverables up to implementation.
- Design, develop and implement a process Modelling Governance Framework and Methodology.
- Design, develop and implement Oracle specific Process Modelling Architecture Guidelines.
Responsible for governing the design, development and implementation of standardised, global business processes & standard operating procedures across all MTN Opcos.
- Govern the design, development and implementation of global business processes & standard operating procedures for a multi country, multi-currency, multi financial calendar, global single instance ERP environment across Finance, SCM, EAM, HR and Governance & Control functions with various levels of maturity.
- Drive business processes & standard operating procedures initiatives to proactively review and implement leading practice processes.
- Ensure that the end-to-end impact / requirements of business transformation activities is understood and that the design is fit for purpose to meet these requirements.
- Take advantage of opportunities for efficiency to achieve standardisation with a high level of quality.
- Collaborate with and guide the System Integrator and associated vendors on system upgrades, database issues, change requirements and applying patches and fixes affecting business processes & operating procedures.
- Maintain coherence and alignment between teams for preparation work up to pilot and then same during full operational roll out across all Opcos.
- Perform end-to-end business process & operating procedure walkthroughs for all functional processes.
- Provide input and support to the organisational change management work stream in preparing and delivering training material covering the Standard Operating Procedures.
- Support and assist with the training delivery to ensure that staff is adequately trained on the new global operating procedures prior to go live.
- Complete all go live checklists
- Support a culture that will be receptive to the changes Boost brings.
- Provide implementation and post go live support as required and perform post go-live assessment.
Submit the Processes & Standard Operating Procedures to support and monitor the Finance, SCM, EPM, EAM and HR business processes and all supporting reports, interfaces, conversions, extensions, forms and workflows (RICEFWs) to the Governance and Control Process Lead for review and approval before submission to IT for development.
- Manage the relationship with the Systems Integrator (SI) to develop and build functional Business Processes and Standard Operating Procedures for Finance, SCM, EAM and HR.
- Responsible for the ERP solution performance and user acceptance testing on the Business processes and Operating Procedures.
- Responsible for the Business Process and Operating procedure interface testing between the ERP and 3rd party solutions.
- Responsible for defining, developing and implementing functional key performance metrics and their associated measurements and reports to monitor the Finance, SCM, EAM, HR and Governance business process operating procedure.
- Responsible for the integration with the Master Data work stream to build the Finance, SCM, EAM, HR and Governance business processes & standard operating procedures master data structures and migrate the data from legacy systems.
- Provide input and validate the FTE sizing guidelines for the Business Processes as provided by the Service Delivery work stream.
- Maintain good working relationships with functional process streams on the Project as well as with key Stakeholders across all operations.
- Facilitate feedback sessions with various business process & standard operating procedure users to get feedback on future business requirements.
- Main business process & standard operating procedures point of contact to the functional transformation leads.
Job Requirements
Education:
- B. Com in IT /Accounting / Business / Audit or other numerate discipline.
- Post Graduate Professional qualification will be an advantage.
- Microsoft Office 2003/2007/2010.
- Microsoft Project.
- Oracle eBusiness Suite - Oracle ERP Cloud desired.
- Process Modelling Tools (i.e. ARIS, Abacus, Visio etc.)
- Process Repository Management
- TOGAF 9.1
Experience:
- 5+ years consistent work experience covering similar functions in multinational companies.
- Business Process & Standard Operating Procedure experience within a multinational operating model is required.
- Demonstrated experience with Business Process & Standard Operating Procedures as part of large-scale back office process transformations.
- Demonstrated experience with global or multinational projects/programmes.
- An excellent understanding of modern end-to-end Business Process & Operating Procedure practices.
- Operating Process & Procedure redesign initiatives and Cloud implementation project experience is desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively establish and maintain strategic working relationships with peers and constituents at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated analysis and problem-solving skills using critical and innovative thinking.
- Telecommunication experience will be advantageous.
