Process Technician at Element Six

To serve as a process technician in HPHT Operations working primarily in PDC Pre-Synthesis area and when necessary in synthesis. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that quality systems in place are maintained, be the driver in implementing continuous improvement under guidance of both process engineer and area superintended.

Duties & Tasks

• Ensure compliance with all Element Six HSE regulations
• Identify root causes for quality/yield failures, implement sustainable solution including FMEA where appropriate.
• Drive continuous improvement with focus on improving production efficiency.
• Ensure all quality systems in place are followed by production personnel.
• Assist area superintended with ensuring that the equipment is properly maintained and ready for production.
• Oversees the effective transfer of development processes into production.
• Initiates and manages PCM projects within the scope of the area under project engineer’s guidance
• Provide technical guidance and support in line with production requirement
• Drive continuous process improvement with specific focus along the line of delivering automated solution to aid production
• Analysis and storage of output in area of responsibility and presents results in various forums as appropriate

Qualifications

• Required qualifications include: Metallurgy/Chemical/Mechanical National Diploma
• At least one years’ experience in production environment.
• Experience in Problem Solving preferably Six Sigma

• Computer literacy in JD Edwards, Windows and MS Office including Minitab
• The ability to easily acquire new skills in an ever-changing environment is required.
