Procurement Officer at Biovac

• BIOVAC is one of the leading sterile vaccine manufacturers rooted in Africa, with our core purpose being to "protect life". We are looking to hire a dynamic, passionate, confident, proactive and meticulous Procurement Officer to join a goal-oriented team.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:

• Bachelors degree or diploma in Supply Chain and Logistics or equivalent.
• Recognition is given to Prior Learning and practical experience.

Experience needed to deliver the role seamlessly:

• At least 2 years experience in Supply Chain and Procurement
• Program and project management

Preferred:

• Knowledge of current legislation with regards to procurement management and processes in particular Supply Chain Management and Preferential Procurement Policies.
• Knowledge of Enterprise and Supplier Development under the B-BBEE code of good practice.
• Knowledge of Pharmaceutical related legislation
• Experience in SAP ERP systems a pre-requisite.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:

Core Technical Delivery:

• Identify opportunities for reduction of a cost to add to total cost to company.
• Feedback from stakeholders in terms of service and delivery.
• Assist with Service Level Agreements as required.
• To complete Vendor Monitoring Reports (QA Outsource)
• To complete Vendor Certifications (QA Outsource)
• To update and maintain Info Records & Source Lists on SAP
• Vetting of New Vendor Applications
• Ensure minimum deviation from Approved Vendor List.
• Compliance to company procurement procedures and policies.
• To project a professional company image through phone interaction and email correspondence with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• To constantly seek out new revenue generating opportunities to ensure that company targets are met, by actively participating in cost saving exercises to improve margins on all goods and services.
• To attend to queries with customers and suppliers timeously and efficiently.
• To assist Procurement Team with B-BBEE compliance with all approved suppliers by ensuring that the latest certificates or affidavits are received
• To assist in the Procurement leg in B-BBEE strategy implementation/maintenance.
