Procurement Officer: Bloemfontein at FS Personnel Recruitment

Minimum Requirements:

• National Senior Certificate
• Relevant Tertiary Qualification will be advantageous
• 3-5 years’ relevant experience in a similar designation with relevant experience in procurement and Logistics
• Candidates must have a valid driver’s license
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English
• PC proficient, including Microsoft Office
• Ability to work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines as determined by the supervisor

Duties & Responsibilities:

Administration:

• Understand and comply with the approved procurement process
• Ensure that all procurement documents are transferred to head office every week
• Control the capturing of all relevant procurement data on Concat daily
• Liaise with drivers to streamline site deliveries
• Identify and control parts as needed

Procurement:

• Assist the Materials Controllers and Category Specialist with information to decide on the product and supplier.
• Liaise with local suppliers on the procurement process and serve as a mediator between supplier and Head Office
• Negotiate prices
• Expedite orders daily and liaise with the buyer at Head Office
• Build and maintain good supplier relations to ensure good collaboration between all parties

Quotations:

• Responsible for requesting at least 3 quotations on all purchases needed on site as per the company approval framework.
• Receive all requisitions from sites and ensure compliance with the procurement process
