Product Analyst/Intermediate Business Analyst at Ovations Technologies

• We are seeking an Intermediate Business Analyst to join our team and assist the Product Owner with analysis and testing tasks. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Commerce in Informatics or a similar degree, with a background in analysis and user experience with exposure to software testing. The team is predominantly Afrikaans so must be able to understand.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Product Owner and cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, user needs, and design constraints.Analyse technical specifications into user stories and acceptance criteria for the development team.
• Define and maintain test scenarios, where applicable.
• Maintain product documentation, including technical specifications, supporting documents, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Assist with software testing activities, including validating test plans, and executing acceptance tests against user story acceptance criteria.
• Work with development teams to ensure that requirements are understood and implemented correctly.
• Monitor and analyse product usability metrics to identify issues and opportunities for improvement.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Commerce in Informatics or a similar degree.
• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exposure to data analysis and software testing.
• Exposure to user experience designs and usability testing.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Experience with agile methodologies and product management tools such as Azure DevOps is a plus.
