    Product Category Manager

    Requirements:

    • Degree
    • 5 – 8 years experience
    • Deep expertise of the Category or multiple Product / FMCG Categories, Retail/eCommerce and Services Product insight
    • Deep commercial and financial acumen including and experience in pricing and demand
    • Business skills and leadership are required in order to lead the strategic Product Category vision.
    • The individual has to have a strong understand of the end-to-end digital marketing and product lifecycle and the ability to build digitally marketable products and service in an emerging market digital world.  
    • Solid knowledge of category management, marketing and sales principles
    • Solid knowledge of product development
    • Understanding of data analysis and forecasting methods
    •  

    Duties:

    • Interfaces with cross-functional parties at all levels of the organization, including ME: Digital Lifestyle, the Commercial team, Channel, Marketing, and Finance, as well as relevant technical and execution resources to ensure availability of product.
    • Influences the strategic vision and direction of new product development within the category to enable a profitable category, which will meet merchant and consumer needs.
    • Leads the commercialization of the products within the category.
    • Assesses implementation of the commercialization plan across all areas of the business.
    • Establish KPIs and reporting processes and frameworks to capture and report category profitability and performance. Incorporates business insights and objectives into the development of the category strategy.
    • Develops, leads and executes category plans, strategies and frameworks, including market approaches, procurement analysis, supplier development, contract management, performance reporting and evaluation, to optimize value for money outcomes and meet stakeholder needs and expectations.
    • Lead efforts to develop and harmonise category management processes/standards across all user groups to gain buy-in and organizational commitment.
