Product Design Lead (OVA5696) at Ovations Technologies

Job Description:

• This is a 12- month contract, with our client in the banking sector.
• We are passionate about improving the working lives of our employees. As a Senior Product Designer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize UX journeys, design intuitive interfaces for internal platforms, and enrich our daily operational ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• UI/UX Artifact Creation: Design compelling UI layouts, interface elements, high-fidelity prototypes, storyboards, wireframes, and navigation maps.
• Design System Custodian: Develop, maintain, and scale visual and interaction assets within the established corporate Design System; adhere to consistent design patterns.
• User Research & Testing: Conduct competitor, behavioural, and best-practice research. Formulate testing parameters to assess UX and integrate user feedback into design iterations.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with the Service Design team, product owners, and engineers to balance user needs, technical constraints, and business metrics.
• Stakeholder Alignment: Communicate design ideas clearly, both verbally and visually, to secure executive buy-in and project alignment.
• Project Delivery: Take full accountability for time management and deliver high-quality, client-centred solutions within agreed project deadlines.

Minimum Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 8 years of proven experience in Product Design, UI/UX Design, or Interaction Design (ideally working on internal platforms or enterprise software).
• Education:
• Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate.
• Advanced Diploma or National First Degree (NQF Level 7 or higher).
