    Product Development Manager (Everyday Banking)

    This role is within RBB: Everyday Banking in Transactional Banking reporting into the head of Product Development

    BRIEF OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:

    An exciting role that focuses at optimization opportunities within the Card business into digital solutions and channels such as Online or App To provide advice and support in practice formulation and associated best practice improvement tactics; enabling the provision of specialist product development expertise.

    Product Innovation: Undertake market analysis to determine product/market share opportunities. Build product improvement and innovation pipeline inline with opportunities identified | Product Change: Plan and manage on-going product Investments, activities and changes | Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships within the industry and within bank to ensure the unit is successfully positioned to manage risks and expectations | Product Performance: Manage and monitor product essentials such as but not limited to profitability, sales volumes etc | Risk and Control: Ensure that required Regulatory/Compliance requirements for products are in place and understood by all. Will require detail understanding of Regulatory environment relating to the product | : | : |

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The high-level duties of the role:

    • Product Innovation: Undertake market analysis to determine product/market share opportunities.

    • Build product improvement and innovation pipeline in-line with opportunities identified 

    • Product Change: Plan and manage on-going product Investments, activities and changes

    • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships within the industry and within bank to ensure the unit is successfully positioned to manage risks and expectations

    • Product Performance: Manage and monitor product essentials such as but not limited to profitability, sales volumes etc

    • Risk and Control: Ensure that required Regulatory/Compliance requirements for products are in place and understood by all. Will require detail understanding of Regulatory environment relating to the product

    • Commercialization of Initiatives : Ensure that all initiatives have sound commercial and go to Market  plans before implementation.

    • Participate in various initiatives to support customer experience objectives, assessment of processes with a view to identify opportunities for automation as a stakeholder and act as subject matter expert to support continuous process improvement efforts

     

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Relevant B degree or equivalent NQF level 7 qualification

    • At least 3-5 years banking ⁄ technology/ financial services environment experience

    • At least three (3) years Product Development and Management knowledge and experience

    • Project management experience

    • Commercial Assessment capability

    • At least 3-5 years’ experience in business systems management or process optimization

    Education

    Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)
