Product Development Specialist at Momentum

To provide technical support to all business stakeholders, with a strong focus on product development, product positioning, sales tools, sales support and competitor analysis. The incumbent will provide support on Momentum Life insurance product (Myriad) to ensure that outcomes are aligned with Momentum Life objectives.

Responsibilities and work outputs

•          Provide support in the development and delivery of innovative products/benefits to meet profit requirements and in line with client value propositions.
•          Provide technical marketing support on an ongoing as well as ad hoc basis, e.g. through face-to-face, presentations, webinars and other technical marketing literature.
•          Understand, compare, document and communicate the competitor landscape, including products, benefits, features and pricing.
•          Handle and resolve technical queries and/or complaints from internal and external sources.
•          Provide technical input on communication to internal stakeholders, financial advisors and clients.
•          Develop, maintain and enhance sales supporting tools and calculators.
•          Assist in training and development of training material for the sales supporting team. This may be on product features, service and enhancements.
•          Stay abreast of the latest technology, research, innovations, commercial environment and the regulatory environment to understand and share how these impact the product strategy.

Experience and Qualifications

•          Minimum Actuarial Science Degree
•          Good progress with actuarial exams
•          At least 2 years' experience in individual life insurance product development OR technical marketing
