    Product Manager

    Description

ClearScore is looking for a seasoned Product Manager with experience in e-commerce or online marketplaces and leading a cross-functional product squad to help us scale a key part of ClearScore product. Our team has built an industry-leading application, used by over 14 million users worldwide. You will be helping millions of users make decisions that create greater financial wellbeing, making their decision-making process calmer, clearer and easier to understand.

    Why ClearScore?

ClearScore is currently the biggest marketplace for credit products in the UK and in South Africa with over 14 million users. We were the first business to offer free credit reports. We did so because we are user-centric at our core and believe in leveraging our technology to enable positive financial choices. We are design-led and data driven and we embed these behaviours in everything we do.

Our company culture is a fundamental part of all we have achieved. We believe in hiring smart, driven, passionate and diverse people who are keen on having a real impact in our organisation. We trust you to manage your own time, so we offer flexible work and no fixed desk hours. We don't micromanage and we believe in measuring outcomes rather than effort. We have an inclusive culture where all, regardless of seniority, are encouraged to contribute with their ideas, look after their wellbeing and actively seek opportunities for career growth.

If you feel like this could be the place for you, apply and our Talent team will be happy to share more.

    What you will do

    • Manage workstreams from various geographies and combine these factors into a feasible and viable roadmap for the squad

    • Be part of a global team, collaborating with other squads based in London and Sydney working on the same problems as you

    • Analyse and produce clear and concise requirements (user stories) with detailed acceptance criteria

    • Work across our multi-functional Agile teams to turn opportunities into outcomes, early-stage sketches into code.

    • Be a central figure leading the collaboration between subject matter experts, marketing, designers, QA, and developers.

    • Lead product and technical conversations with partners to deliver important integrations with lenders that help our users, partners and ClearScore.

    • Passionate and excited by the unknown and what we can achieve here at ClearScore.

    • Be the servant-leader for the team; an advocate for Agile methodologies.

    Requirements

    • 3-4 years of experience in product management or product ownership. We're looking for people who lead and own the 'why' for their team, not just delivery management.

    • You lead a team in a problem and solution space and support senior product, engineering and design leaders in building highly functional teams.

    • You drive communication within your team and with stakeholders in a clear and concise way, being comfortable presenting to the company in demos or all hands. You resolve blockers, risks and issues are proactively raised and resolved. People know what you're doing and why.

    • You tackle ambiguous problems in a structured way. Your solutions are reasonably bounded but have multiple risks and unknowns. You are aware of successful patterns in the industry and utilise them in your solutions.

    • You obsess over outcomes and are comfortable making trade-offs between options within your product scope even when ambiguous. You prioritise delivering fast learning and value. Your decision making is led by impact, not output, thinking.

    • You are developing a deep understanding of your product's problem space and autonomously use qualitative and quantitative techniques to generate insights

    • You are participating and suggesting discovery areas. In relatively unambiguous problems, you are leading the discovery process utilising different frameworks

    • You create and then own an ambitious roadmap and OKRs for your team which are clearly connected to the company strategy and mission.

    Benefits

    • Holidays – 20 paid holidays and a “duvet day” on your birthday

    • Flexible, generous and personalised maternity and paternity plans
    • Monthly team events and office days out that we get to choose, and company events at the end of each race and retro
