    Product Manager – Xiaomi Consumer Products

    Job Advert Summary    

    • Syntech Distribution is seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Manager to lead the Xiaomi consumer products portfolio. This role is pivotal in driving growth across online, offline, and channel customer segments, ensuring seamless distribution and market penetration of cutting-edge smart technology products.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • 3–5 years of experience in product management or distribution within the consumer electronics or IT sector.
    • Proven track record managing products across online, offline, and channel environments.
    • Strong analytical, communication and negotiation skills.
    • Familiarity with smart home, IoT, or AIOT technologies is a plus.
    • Based in Cape Town or willing to relocate.

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    Product Strategy & Lifecycle Management

    • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for Xiaomi consumer products 
    • Manage product lifecycle from launch to phase-out, ensuring alignment with market trends and customer needs 

    Channel Development & Customer Engagement

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with online retailers, brick-and-mortar stores, and distribution partners 
    • Drive channel-specific initiatives to maximize product visibility and sales performance 

    Sales Enablement & Forecasting

    • Collaborate with sales teams to set targets, monitor performance, and optimize inventory levels 
    • Provide product training and support to internal teams and external partners 

    Market Analysis & Competitive Intelligence

    • Conduct regular market research to identify opportunities, threats, and emerging trends 
    • Benchmark Xiaomi consumer products against competitors to refine positioning and pricing strategies 

    Cross-functional Collaboration

    • Work closely with marketing, logistics, and technical support teams to ensure cohesive execution 
    • Liaise with Xiaomi regional teams to align on product roadmap and promotional activities  Financial Acumen

    Financial Acumen 

    • Responsible for managing the product portfolio’s performance, including budgets, pricing, and profitability to ensure sustainable growth.
