Product Marketing Manager (SaaS)

Our client is a South African based company who specialises in SaaS. As an energetic, and dynamic company, they are looking for a Product Marketing Manager to join their remote team. In return they offer a great work environment with flexible working hours.
As the Product Marketing Manager, you are responsible for developing effective strategies and plans to communicate the features and benefits of new and existing products to customers.
Job type: Remote | Full-Time
Minimum of 3 years experience in a product marketing role
Collaborate skills - as a product marketing manager you will have to collaborate with multiple teams across the business. This will often include the sales and marketing department, the engineering department, product management, press and PR and executives.
Communication skills - the ability to speak and write to a high standard is crucial. You will frequently have to present new products and write engaging copy, telling the ‘story’ of products, for various marketing channels.
Research skills - a crucial part of being a product marketing manager is gaining insight into customer needs and experiences. Analysis of data, surveys and customer interviews will be part of this mix and you need to be well acquainted with these techniques.
Experience working in SaaS business / tech
You have excellent communication and writing skills
You’re able to own and lead in your space
You’re a collaborator
A self-starter, able to dive in without requiring or seeking micro management
Responsibilities:
Build on product messaging that sets our products apart from others in the market to give them a unique selling point
Communicate the vision and value of new products to the onboarding, customer success and sales team
Develop sales and customer success enablement tools and content that facilitate the selling process and adoption and usage of the product and features
Plan and participate in the launch of new services and products which involve several different departments - Brief the press and PR teams about new products
Take part in presentations
Obtain insights into customers’ usage of current products, untapped opportunities and buyer personas, through interviews, surveys, focus groups and sales data
Use market research data to establish and validate product pricing
Create content such as feature support guides, case studies, videos, website copy and blog posts
Speak and present about products to both external and internal audiences
Test new goods and products
Research competitor offerings
