    • As a Business Development Manager to establish market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, closing business relationships, as well as to maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions.  This person is responsible for defining long-term organizational strategic goals, and work with the internal team, marketing staff, and other managers to increase insurance opportunities and thereby maximize revenue for the organization. The objective of this role is to also put the customer at the heart of all operational activities, focusing on channel optimization and performance

    Requirements
    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Grade 12 (essential) 
    • Relevant 3/4 year degree / National Diploma (essential) in Marketing management or related

    • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in delivering solid commercial impact advanced analytics projects

    • Expertise in data manipulation: use of structured data tools (e.g. SQL), & unstructured data tools and platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, NoSQL)

    • Expertise in major statistical modelling software packages (e.g. R, SAS) and multivariate techniques (e.g. k-means segmentation, multiple regression, factor analysis, time-series forecasting) - preferred

    • Experience in digital analytics and its applications, e.g., google analytics, adobe analytics, social listening, social network analysis)

    • Intellectual curiosity, along with excellent problem-solving and quantitative skills, including the ability to disaggregate issues, identify root causes and recommend solutions

    • Experience of working on complex data modelling projects to support strategic, financial and regulatory mandates

    • 8 years experience required Advanced SQL skills including extensive experience querying large, complex data sets

    • Skillset: R, Python, SQL
