Junior Data Analyst (Western Cape) at Flash Group

Job Role: 

• To support business teams by analysing data, building reports and dashboards, and translating data into clear insights that inform operational and commercial decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Analyse operational and performance data
• Build and maintain dashboards and standard reports
• Perform data quality checks and validation
• Support ad-hoc data requests from the business
• Translate business questions into analytical tasks
• Assist with hypothesis testing and trend analysis
• Document data definitions and assumptions
• Collaborate with BI and Data Engineering teams
• Continuously improve analytical skills and tools
• Present insights in a clear and structured manner.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Qualification: 3-year degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science or similar will be advantageous.
• Experience: 1-3 years in a data, analytics or reporting role (internships included)
• Systems: Excel, Power BI; SQL or Python advantageous

Required Knowledge / Technical Skills:

• Data cleaning, validation and basic modelling techniques
• SQL for querying structured datasets
• Power BI dashboard and report development
• Excel-based analysis (pivots, formulas, data modelling)
• Basic understanding of data structures and databases
• Foundational statistical concepts and trend analysis
