Product Specialist – Legal Technology & Contract Lifecycle Management at Hire Resolve

Role Summary: 

• A lawyer who sits between legal practice and software delivery — owning the legal logic across the whole contracting journey and validating that the product actually reflects it.
• This is neither a traditional contract-manager role nor a pure Business Analyst role. It is a hybrid position requiring deep legal contracting expertise combined with hands-on software delivery and validation skills.

Key Responsibilities: 

The role encompasses 20 detailed responsibility areas, clustered into five core pillars:

Process and Configuration Design: 

• Map the end-to-end contract lifecycle (intake → matter → drafting/negotiation → approvals/DoA → e-signature → activation → extraction → obligations → amendments → renewal/termination → reporting)
• Design intake forms and matter initiation processes
• Configure pre-signature workflows and post-signature contract setup
• Define key commercial terms, dates, term, and renewal logic
• Manage amendments and contract linking

Legal Content Work: 

• Develop risk playbooks and conduct missing-clause analysis
• Create obligation extraction rules (obligor / action / timing / evidence)
• Draft realistic test agreements across various contract types, including:
• SLAs
• Leases
• Loans
• NDAs
• Supply contracts

AI Validation: 

• Test AI outputs for:
• Summarisation
• Clause and field extraction
• FAQs
• Document comparison
• Conversational assistant responses
• Feed legal corrections back into the product as formal requirements

QA & Delivery: 

• Perform expert User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Conduct regression testing
• Reproduce defects and perform root-cause triage (defect vs. AI vs. configuration vs. data vs. user error)
• Validate releases and upgrades

Client facing and Data Work: 

• Deliver product demos and training sessions
• Drive client adoption
• Build and maintain reporting dashboards
• Perform heavy Excel-based data migration, classification, and data-quality work across thousands of records

Requirements: 

• Education: LL.B or equivalent legal / paralegal qualification

Experience:

• Substantial commercial contracting experience
• Hands-on legal-tech / CLM / matter-management exposure
• Real UAT and defect work experience

Technical Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
