Job Description    

• Join Lactalis SA at our Ladismith Plant as a Production Coordinator at Milk Pasteurising. The main responsibilities will include management of GMP, Mass Balance and COD. Also Manage Milk Blending and Milk UF/RO. Develop and participate actions to improve Fat and Protein losses. Required Skills    

• The ideal candidate will be proactive in nature and have a relevant post matric Qualification in production management or dairy manufacturing up to at least NQF 4 level
• Computer literate
• At least 5 years experiences in a supervisory position is essential
• Knowledge of BPSC and Mass balancing systems
• Able to manage and build a successful team
• Interpersonal understanding, organizational awareness and direction will be advantageous.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Health and Safety requirements
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Accuracy and attention to detail and good problem solving skills
• Assertiveness and calm under pressure
• The ability to work independently and under pressure
• A valid Code EB driver’s license will be advantages
• Weekend duties

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Manage GMP, Mass Balancing, Milk Blending and Milk UF/RO
• Develop and participate actions to improve Fat and Protein losses
• Develop and participate in all activities that will lead to reducing costs.
• Maintain discipline and compliance to general rules
• Work with the maintenance department to ensure everything is in good working condition at all times
• Monitor quality control points and ensure that samples and test are performed according to standard
• Control all BPCS transactions
• Budget control
• Maintain a culture of quality production where people are proud of their achievements.
• Schedule training sessions or renewal sessions so that employers are educated in ISO, HACCP and NOSA procedures at least annually.
• Ensure that all administrative duties (control and check sheets) are completed as required.
• Compile and evaluate the Key Performance Areas of the people reporting to you.
• Manage KRONOS on a daily basis
• Generate rapports, report on deviations with reasons and action plans
