Production Leader at Giesecke+Devrient

PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Production Leader is responsible for overseeing the production department to ensure efficient operations, achievement of production targets, and adherence to quality standards. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a passion for operational excellence, quality assurance, and team development in a secure, high-volume production environment.The key responsibilities of the position are as follows, but not limited to:

• Lead and manage production operations to meet throughput and quality targets.
• Allocate resources and manage shift schedules for optimal efficiency.
• Enforce quality standards and 5S practices across production lines.
• Oversee work orders, line setups, and ensure smooth shift transitions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and conduct risk assessments.
• Train and support team members, monitor performance, and promote accountability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments and ensure timely delivery of outputs.
• Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) regulations and PCI-CP standards.
• Ensures compliance with all Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) regulations and company policies.
• Compliance: Adherence to company policies, regulations, and standards- PCI-CP/Corporate audits.

MINIMUM ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• National Diploma or Degree in Production Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Certifications in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Quality Management Systems (added advantage).

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

• 5–7 years in a high-volume, secure production environment (e.g., card personalisation, printing, manufacturing).
• 3+ years in a supervisory or team leadership role.
• Familiarity with automated production systems, quality control tools, and compliance frameworks.

• Lead teams, manage operations, and uphold quality and safety protocols.
