Production Manager at Essity

About The Role
The Production Manager role is responsible for the total results of the manufacturing facility in Pinetown. The role calls for an incumbent that has a proven track record of successfully managing a large manufacturing facility, implementing strategic operational initiatives and people leadership and development. What You Will Do

• You will manage, lead and be responsible for total Operation’s results for manufacturing.
• You will be a role model for Safety and Quality and support all business strategic initiatives.
• You will be a key contributor to the site’s goals & objectives and will lead the manufacturing plants in achieving these.
• You will make decisions that are largely operational in nature; building manufacturing capability and implementing and maintaining best practice systems & principles in line with world-class standards.
• You will be accountable for manufacturing variances & the manufacturing budget.
• You will coach and mentor team members in problem-solving methodologies (DOM, DDS, R2S) thereby driving continuous improvement within the factories.
• You will be accountable for people development within the factories.
   

Who You Are

• Must have a tertiary qualification in Operations Management or Production Management or Engineering qualification.
• Must have 3 - 5 years proven successful experience in Operations or Production Management.
• Must have a high level of technical competence be results-driven.
• Must have effective communication skills with methodical approach to problem solving techniques.
• Must have an open mind with clear business acumen in assessing any risks and business decisions.
