Production Planner - Kroonstad at Corteva Agriscience

Your Challenge:

• Raw seed reconciliations and accounting.
• Assists Site Management to execute all safety, quality and operational disciplines activities across seed receiving departments. Incumbent will assist to ensure safety training is completed and safety regulations are enforced
• Implements measures to improve productivity, performance, product quality, working conditions and efficiencies
• Develops and maintains good communications with plant supervisors and personnel, employees, field personnel and vendors. Works with other leaders to coordinate workflow and coordination of seed availability between warehouses and plants
• Ensures Corteva’s Material Movement policy and storage activities are carried out safely
• Ensuring that plant production is accurately recorded in SAP and other data systems
• Creating, updating, and closing SAP production orders promptly for all departments, with the assistance from other employees
• Ensuring SAP bill of materials are accurate and up to date and that SAP master recipes remain in working order
• Maintaining production material inventory like treatment chemicals, packaging bags and product labels
• Training site SAP production users and monitoring and improving data quality at each point in the process
• Performing GRN in SAP for R3 materials (chemicals, bags, and labels
• Coordination of site production plants and providing schedule estimates for planning purposes
• Generating preliminary certificates for SANSOR
• Plan, coordinates and executes supply of direct packing material) (bags, seals,etc) shipping and receiving activities, including interplant movement, warehousing, and inventory management of bulk and bagged seed
• Receiving and shipping activities of treatment chemicals and packaging material for all Conditioning Plants incl, interplant movement, warehousing, and inventory management of bulk and bagged seed
• Follow standard operating procedures and suggest improvements as needed to ensure product quality
• Works with other leaders to coordinate workflow and coordination of direct material (bags, seals, labels etc.) availability between storage and plants
• Ensures employees are trained on job duties and equipment when required.
• Assist Conditioning leads and Production Supervisors to EHS system i.e CAMS and Reliance Updates and follow-up

Qualifications

To Grow What Matters, You Will Need

• Minimum of GR12
• Experience in seed industry in seed receiving/production related operations.
• SAP system experience
• Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Computer aptitude including use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
