Production planner at Lewis Strauss & Co

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Monthly, compile medium & long-term production plans to ensure min. 95% product availability, considering production constraints, inventory targets and alignment with raw material flow (where relevant).
• Issue production orders and purchase orders for finished goods weekly/monthly against updated production plans by required release dates, taking into account fabric availability and production constraints where relevant.
• Monthly delivery of a medium & long-term fabric plan based on the latest production plan, considering supplier capabilities and inventory targets.
• On time issuance of fabric purchase orders to mills to cover the relevant short-term production plan, ensuring that the fabrics are delivered in the right quantity and on time.
• Effective monitoring and reporting of delivery performance versus demand, including corrective actions.
• Collaborate with internal and external clients for on time delivery to meet customer orders in an integrated supply chain network.
• Maintain optimal and accurate data in planning systems to ensure accurate planning and reports.
• Ensure that plant capacity is balanced to medium and long-term production plans, making timely recommendations and executing changes as per S&OP approval.
• Effective fabric and finished goods phase out management, using safety stock templates where appropriate.
• Monitor delivery of orders and take prompt action to mitigate any risk to delivery of customer orders.
