Production Planning Leader at Jonsson Workwear

The Operations Team is responsible for the procurement of raw materials, as well as the planning and forecasting of the company's diverse and extensive product offering. Because we own our supply chain, we are constantly driving innovation to ensure a solution-driven, team approach with a core focus of providing our customers with exceptional products and excellent service.

The Production Planning Leader leads the Production Planning team who play an integral role in ensuring tour production lines are planned efficiently, with the correct products being supplied through the respective factories and production lines timeously, ensuring On Time in Full deliveries within budgeted Throughput times.

The main responsibilities include:

• Lead a team while operating within the larger Operations team with constant communication with the Marking, Forecasting and Procurement teams.
• Plan production on the Planning Boards on Fast React.
• Planning of cutting orders on the planning boards, ensuring that the correct products are planned on the respective production lines.
• Develop a good understanding of the products that they operate with.
• Working closely with the factory managers on ensuring production lines are planned efficiently and find necessary solutions to challenges that may arise.
• Work flexibly, prioritise orders and make the required changes on a daily basis to ensure delivery dates are met.
• Manage Outwork loads (Embroidery/Screen printing).
• Monitor factory and production line efficiencies.
• Accurately and proactively manage the throughput times in factories.
• Constant communication and streamlining of work from the Raw Material Warehouse to the Centralised Cutting Room to the factories within the required Throughput Time.
• Required to travel to Lesotho for Factory visits on a monthly basis.

The experience we're looking for:

• At least 5 year's planning experience with Fast React knowledge.
• Experience in leading a team of people.
• Clothing or textiles' sector experience, advantageous.
• Highly computer literate in MS Office with ADVANCED spreadsheet skills essential.
• Syspro system experience would be a plus.
• Valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle.
• Valid passport (or must be obtained if appointed).
